Joseph Considine is a native of Cooraclare in West Clare and after graduating from University College Galway (LLB) and Queens University Belfast (LLM), he trained in a top five Commercial firm in Dublin. Joe returned to Ennis in 2000 to finish his training and worked in the Property & Commercial Department of one of the longest established firms in the Mid -West. He remained there until he decided to open up his own practice with Daragh Hassett.
Joseph heads up the Property and Commercial Department in Hassett Considine Solicitors LLP and has now in excess of 20 years experience in working in this field. He has advised clients in a wide area of commercial matters to include copyright, trademarks, partnership law, employment law, shareholders agreements, share purchase agreements and asset sale & purchase agreements. He also advises clients on probate and all property matters (agricultural, residential, and commercial) and has a Diploma in Property Tax.
Joseph has an interest in the developing area of Renewable Energy and in particular Wind Farms and has acted for a number of groups of landowners recently who have committed their land to such projects. As a former dual inter-county player he also has an interest in sports law and has advised sporting personalities on a wide variety of matters to include publishing contracts, sports gear deals and image rights contracts. He is also on the panel of the GAA's Dispute Resolution Authority (D.R.A.).
More recently, Joseph has graduated from UCD's Law School with a diploma in Arbitration and is now a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators. He has advised clients, primarily in the commercial and construction areas, on Arbitration contracts and disputes that are subject to an Arbitration Contract.
